Poodle Characteristics
Dignified and proud, poodles are usually very intelligent, making them easy to train. They enjoy being surrounded by people. Poodles are among the smartest dogs breeds. Their intelligence and eagerness to please make them great service dogs. Poodles are also employed as guide dogs, assistance dogs for people with other physical disabilities, and therapy dogs.
They can initially be wary of strangers until they get to know them, but they are very good with children and friendly towards other animals.
High-energy and high-spirited, Poodles love nothing more than being the centre of attention and will thrive on being part of family activities and at the centre of a busy household.
They are highly trainable and well suited for just about any task you put them to. Bored Poodles can get destructive if they aren’t physically and mentally simulated. But active owns who can meet their dog’s needs will find a loving, smart, and a loyal family companion.
