Bernese Mountain Dog Characteristics
The Bernese Mountain Dog is a Swiss working dog breed. These dogs are extremely strong, big, and powerful.
They were first bred to pull carts, herd livestock, and protect their families.
Berners are sensitive, extremely devoted and above all, very lovable dogs.
Due to their affectionate and calm spirits, the Bernese Mountain Dog breed makes an excellent pet and can also get along really nicely with children. They are social and need to be with people and given plenty of affection.
Bernese work well with other pets and around strangers. They are excellent guardians. The thick, silky, and moderately long coat is tricolored: black, white, and rust.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are active and need at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. They are intelligent dogs and are easy to train.
