Bichon Frise Characteristics
Originating from islands in the Mediterranean, with her regal look, the Bichon Frise quickly found popularity first with European nobility, as a companion dog.
The baby doll-faced Bichon Frise is a small dog with fluffy, snowy-white coat and a very bouncy personality.
Bichons are charming, gentle dogs, the ideal companion for young and old alike. They adapt well to other pets if raised with them, or introduced to them gradually.
They are naturally sociable and are happiest when they are part of a family that takes them everywhere. This breed has a huge desire to be the centre of attention.
While the Bichons are extremely intelligent and can be very receptive to learning, they are also slightly cunning, thinking they are smarter than their human.
Because of their size and temperament Bichon Frises thrive in apartments and houses alike, but they will still need lots of playtime to get their energy out.
Bichons have a high energy level but only need a moderate amount of exercise.
