Cane Corso Characteristics
The Cane Corso, also known as the Italian Mastiff, is a large and muscular working dog with a noble, confident disposition and a loyal companion. They are powerful dogs with a fearless, vigilant nature. For those who like the idea of a very large dog who is protective, the Cane Corso is one to consider.
They bond deeply with their families and act as protectors getting along with children, even forming a close bond with them. This kind of breed can weigh up to 120 pounds, so children should learn how to behave around them and never be left unsupervised.
Corsos bark a normal amount, but their size produces a thunderous noise that can endanger your quality of life although you can teach them to stop barking, but make sure you never punish them!
They are also extremely intelligent and need consistent, lifelong training from an owner who will be clear about expectations and when they are given jobs to do and carefully socialized, Corsos tend to have and easy-going temperament.
