Chinese Crested Characteristics
The Chinese Crested Dog, also called Chinese Crested Dog, draws attention for its lack of hair on almost the entire body. It is a charming and adorable breed. Also very active, they require regular exercise and socialization with other dogs and people. They are very intelligent, and often try to take on the role of “leader” in their family. This can lead to undesirable behaviours that can be corrected with proper training.
In terms of their personality the Chinese Crested is incredibly playful and affectionate. They love the attention from their families and will happily play with you whenever you want. There are lively, energetic, and can also be decent watchdogs.
Regardless of how much hair the Chinese crested has, they are all the same inside. They are marvellous lapdogs, requiring less exercise than many breeds their size, making them excellent companions!
They are also notoriously difficult to house-train, so have a lot of patient repetition and use positive reinforcement when it comes to training.
Chinese Crested Inherited Disease and Traits Testing Panels
We can offer the below tests for the Chinese Crested singularly or as combos or as included in the most comprehensive Panel “DogCheck 4.0”:
