Doberman Pinscher Characteristics
Originally bred in Germany as a protector and companion for a tax collector, the Doberman pinscher has since been seen as a working dog, used in police and military work, and as guide dog for the blind too.
And while they’re still one of the most popular watch dogs in the world, Doberman pinschers became known people-oriented dogs that are affectionate and sweet with people, if socialized and trained properly. They are loyal companion to their owners and are good with children and other pets if raised together.
This breed has a reputation for intelligence, alertness, and courage.
The Doberman Pinscher is a medium-large, yet elegant dog breed: sleek, athletic, and powerful.
It has a short, smooth black, blue, fawn, or red coat with rust markings on the head, throat, chest and feet.
Doberman Pinschers are energetic and curious dogs, so require an active lifestyle that keeps them both physically and mentally stimulated.
